A Green Day Out!

A Green Day Out!

The Green Schools Committee has been busy this year promoting the use of fuel free modes of transport at home. We have worked tirelessly attending meetings, organising events and informing the school about the safety rules to follow when cycling or walking at home. Finally, we were able to reap the rewards of all our hard work when our school was awarded with the “Travel Green Flag”. This is the schools’ fourth green flag. On Thursday 24th May Ms. Anna O’ Connor accompanied Emily Henley, Alannah Kelly and Zara Wall to the City North Hotel, Gormanstown to collect our green flag. At the ceremony we read about the ways we could save the environment on “The Green Tree” and we saw some great art displays which reused plastic bottles. We had a great day out. We can’t wait to start work on the fifth Green Flag next year!!
