Scoil Bhríde Eco Team

At Scoil Bhríde, our active Eco Team leads the way in promoting sustainability throughout the school. The team is responsible for managing our recycling and composting initiatives and educating the school community about the importance of reducing waste, upcycling materials, and caring for our environment.

Our Eco Team organises regular waste audits and even takes part in “dumpster dives” to monitor and improve our waste management practices. They maintain all recycling bins around the school and oversee our new wormery and composting system.

We are proud to work in partnership with Kilbride Tidy Towns, who provide our students with valuable hands-on environmental learning through workshops, litter picks, and gardening activities. This collaboration fosters a strong sense of community pride, teaches important life skills, and helps create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable local environment for everyone.
