Dear Parents,
What a week we have had at Scoil Bhride!
On Monday our 5th class displayed their Mini Scientist experiments. We were very proud of each of our pupils who put so much work into their investigations.
Wednesday saw the visit of both the Sam Maguire and Liam McCarthy cups and so there was high excitement in the school. The pupils wore in their county colours of choice and all money raised went to funding the buses for our Gaelic teams. We will post a separate blog with photos of the special occasion. Thank you to Ms Maye for organising.
Many thanks to you all for attending parent teacher meetings over the last couple of weeks. Thank you to our teachers for their time and dedication. Please remember that if an issue arises at any time an appointment with the teacher can be arranged through the office as per our Parent Teacher Communication policy.
Our internet safety talks continued this week. Thank you to Amanda Davis and Symantec for facilitating these talks free of charge for our pupils.
The GAA fundamental skills training continued this week. Many thanks to Ms Donnellan for organising.
I would like to remind all parents of our healthy eating policy. It is essential to ensure concentration during the day and in developing positive eating habits long term. Many cereal bars and fruit drinks are laden with sugar as our mini scientists showed off this week. As always it is essential our school is a nut and kiwi free zone. Your constant vigilance in this regard is always required.
Our student council have been busy as you can see in a separate post. They were fantastic organising Science week and have lots of good ideas for the school. Thank you to Ms O Donovan for leading the student council.
Our choir continue singing every Monday at 3pm. Thank you to Ms Ryan and Lorraine for their time.
Panto practice continues and we look forward to the panto on the 7th and 8th of December.
A reminder that no member of our school community, pupil, staff member, parent, wider community member should ever be discussed on any form of social media. Any reference to the school and its community should always be respectful.
Our pastoral theme is respect and so we ask all our school community to consider how we show respect for ourselves, others and the environment.
