Dear Parents,
Our school continues to be a hive of activity. Read on to find out more.
School Self Evaluation: We are focusing on improving pupil’s enjoyment and motivation to learn and speak Irish. This week our Student Council posted their first audio clip and phrase on the website. We are posting these audio clips to the website to strengthen the links between home and school in the area of oral Irish and to help parents with little or no Irish. Your child may be teaching you these phrases at home! Thank you to Ms.O Donovan for leading this initiative.
Confirmation Preparation Masses: Masses preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
Catholic Schools Week: Catholic Schools Week takes place from the 27th January to the 3rd of February. As part of Catholic Schools Week, we will be celebrating Grandparents Day on Wednesday 30th. We will be inviting grandparents from the infant and 2nd classes into the school for a visit to the classes and a cup of tea! Invitations with further details will be issued next week to the infant and 2nd classes.
Nut and Kiwi allergy: We thank you for your constant vigilance in keeping our school a nut and kiwi free zone. This is vital for the health and safety of several our pupils.
Stay Safe Parent Talk: Our pupils will all complete the Stay Safe programme this term. This programme is from the Child Abuse Prevention Programme. We have invited a facilitator to talk to parents about Stay Safe on Tuesday 29th January at 7:30pm. I encourage you all to attend. Le gach dea-ghuí,
